ONGOING COMMUNITY OUTREACH INITIATIVES

The Outcome Closet provides ALL families in Lockney with access to gently used clothing, shoes, toys and essential items completely FREE OF CHARGE. We are in our second year of operations and have included many volunteers in the daily washing, organizing, and restocking of donations.   The community has shown up in stride with a wealth of donations and we are growing awareness within the community. With approximately 5-10 families visiting a month (more during season changes) we are breaking down barriers and opening minds to the fact that gently used clothing is a way we can help our neighbors and spend hard earned money elsewhere! 

Community members may contact The Outcome team to schedule an appointment to pick out items or you can notify your local school staff of your needs and they can get in contact with us on your behalf. 

If you would like to volunteer with us as an individual or with a group, please contact Kayla to set up a time and prepare clothing to sort and hang. We welcome and appreciate our community volunteers that help this mission function and our Closet to remain well-stocked. 

If you have items you would like to donate, please contact 806-292-1926 (call or text) or you can always drop off items in the trunk located behind the Closet.

 In addition to seasonal business operations, The Green Pearl Greenhouse also provides opportunities for youth enrichment and empowerment with their craft and story time throughout the summer. Story time will continue in 2023, as well as the opening of The Outcome Closet - Tulia soon. We are blessed with an abundance of donations, so once the space is finished, we will have everything we need to fully stock and begin serving families in Tulia and surrounding communities. We are so excited to be expanding these initiatives and look forward to how they will continue to grow. We hope to include more story times with increased promotion and awareness. As children engage in the story and crafts, parents can visit The Closet and receive everything they need.  

The Green Pearl Greenhouse Craft and Storytime will be open to the public on scheduled Saturdays throughout the summer. These dates will be posted on our social media platforms and at the Green Pearl Greenhouse location. Space is limited, so we will ask for RSVP to these events to ensure we have enough materials and space available for interested attendees. 

The Outcome Closet - Tulia (coming soon)

Space has been acquired and we have all the donations we need to begin an Outcome Closet in Tulia. We hope to have this space open to the public by the end of 2023.
